What to expect on a husky safari

Every husky tour begins at the kennel, where dozens of excited dogs greet you with a chorus of howls. After a safety briefing you’ll learn the basics — how to stand on the runners, use the brake and hold on through the bends — then set off across snow-covered trails and frozen lakes. The moment the brake lifts, the barking stops and the team surges forward into near-silence. Rides finish back at the farm with hot drinks by the fire and time to meet the dogs and cuddle the puppies.

A short kennel ride starts around €99–€120, a self-drive safari runs €160–€190, and a full-day expedition with lunch can be €250+. The season runs December to April, when there’s reliable snow. Book ahead in the December peak — the best kennels sell out.
